Completing units

AIS «MeteoConsultant» is executed on the basis of a PC with an Intel-compatible processor and a set of telecommunications equipment for operating via telegraph and telephone communications lines.

Communication channels

AIS «MeteoConsultant» allows you to work with the following communication channels:

• channel network Mecom (Aspden)
• telegraph channel network AFTN
• channel for receiving data AMRS «MeteoCell»
• communication channel for exchange with MSC «MeteoTelex»

Tasks

• receiving and archiving of data in aviation codes;
• providing access to aviation meteorological data base on flight route and airdromes;
• preparation and printing of a form with weather forecast on departure, landing and reserve airdromes;
• preparation and printing of a form of weather forecast on flight route for small aircraft;
• transferring of requests to aviametadata banks and airports via AFTN network;
• monitoring of received answers to requests in aviametadata banks;
• configuration of connection to external networks or MSC «MeteoTelex»
• adjustment of an interface on forecaster’s interaction with local database and external aviametadata banks;
• viewing aviation weather charts in Т4 code;
• display of actual observation data on RW;
• transfer of a landing forecast to the reference station (TREND)

As of 1 June 2017, 80 AIS «MeteoConsultant» were installed in the countries: Russian Federation, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Belarus and Moldova
